About Me

I am a mother of two children and am also a Teacher and Counsellor. I have always loved writing and being creative and, when I was younger, I loved to escape to a fantasy world by reading books. I would sometimes read throughout the night as I'd get carried away with it! However, I did find that I wanted more books involving female characters as the heroine.

 

In my adult life, when my children were born, I imagined the fantasy world I've depicted in this book and the story then evolved over time in my mind, but I just didn’t have time to write it. However, once my children were both of school age, I had a couple of days a week to focus on getting it all down on paper and I loved every minute of it! The more I immersed myself in this world and the plot of the story, the more I developed the characters and storyline; resulting in my first ever books (but definitely not my last)!

Every person from age 9 to 13, that has read it so far have all said how much they've loved it and hasn’t been able to put it down. In fact, they have been demanding the second and third book in my trilogy…so I’ve been hard at work on them; to keep them, and all my other readers, happy.
